The HYROX Training Club Experience

While the competition format is a signature element, our training at Fitness First also offers diverse training sessions that mimic aspects of the event to help you develop strength, endurance, and improve your overall fitness. You don't have to be preparing for an actual race to enjoy the benefits. Each workout is designed to improve your speed, stamina, and mental toughness.

What to expect at a HYROX class at Fitness First?

At the HYROX Training Club, you’ll experience a variety of class formats, each designed to improve a different aspect of your fitness. Whether you want to focus on endurance, strength, or a complete race simulation, there’s a class for you. Here are the four main programs we offer:

Foundational (now available at selected clubs) – This is your comprehensive, all-encompassing workout. It covers the basics of physical fitness, from core strength to agility, and is perfect for those looking to build a strong foundation.

Engine (Coming Soon) – This cardio-focused class will push your endurance to new heights. Whether you’re running, rowing, or skiing, Engine will help you build the stamina you need to go the distance.

Power (Coming Soon) – Get ready to unleash your strength with Power, a class focused on functional strength and explosive power. You’ll work with heavy weights and fast-paced exercises to improve your muscle capacity and strength.

Complete (Coming Soon) – This is the ultimate HYROX experience, a race-specific workout that combines all aspects of the other programs. It’s perfect for those looking to simulate the HYROX race and get a taste of the competition.

 

You’ll also get to participate in periodic competition simulations, designed to condition you for the intensity of a HYROX race. These simulations will give you a real sense of what it’s like to compete, helping you improve both your physical performance and mental toughness.

A HYROX Race: What to Expect

Picture this: you’re at the starting line, the whistle blows, and you’re off - running at a steady pace for a kilometer. But there’s no time to rest when you finish. Instead, you’re immediately onto the next task, pulling against the resistance of a Ski Erg machine. Your muscles burn but you push through because you know what's coming: a grueling sled push, the weight of which seems to grow heavier with every step.

Next, the sled pull. With every inch you drag it across the floor, your arms shake, and your breath quickens. Before you even have a chance to catch your breath, you’re running again. Another kilometer. Then, burpee broad jumps. Explosive, relentless. Your body is pushed to work as one.

The rhythm of running and lifting continues, each phase testing a different aspect of your fitness. After rowing a grueling 1,000 meters, you’re gripping kettlebells for a farmers carry, lungs burning but determined to complete the circuit.
